The maximum amount of this contract shall not exceed $600,000.
Background
SACOG, in partnership with the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) and the California Air Resources Board (CARB), is exploring a cost effective approach of using big data to advance transportation planning as a proof of concept for statewide applications with multiple purposes and at different geographic levels. This work will be referred to hereafter as the “Pilot Project”. SACOG is administering the Pilot Project on behalf of Caltrans and CARB. This RFQ allows the three agencies to pool resources and expertise over the course of Pilot Project. SACOG seeks consultants to provide expertise on big data and to assist the three agencies in carrying out this Pilot Project.
The goal of the Pilot Project is to procure access to big data products and services through a licensing agreement for a period of at least twelve months for the six-county SACOG region, with direct access to the licensed data and services to each of the participating partners.
